Recorded between 1926-31. Thanks to Rolf for allowing me to use his excellent transfers. You can find this and many other wonderful selections and information at his website: Judith Bokor (04/10/1899 - ): born in Budapest. Graduated 9th at the conservatory in Budapest with David Popper, and then studied in Berlin with Hugo Becker. She was married to the Hungarian Geza Kalman Kosch (1887 -1971). The couple fled in 1919 during the communist regime of Bela Kun in Hungary and came to the Netherlands. Geza Kalman Kosch changed his name to Geza Koos and became, on the advice of Willem Mengelberg, an impresario. He was one of the most influential impresarios of the Netherlands, as a manager of the famous Kurhaus Concerts. With help from her husband, Judith Bokor, soon became an international career as a cello soloist. She performed in the Netherlands as well as Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Spain, Italy, Poland, Romania, Hungary, Austria, Germany and
