Etsy: FB: VK: Have you ever wondered why the scarecrows are so creepy?.. Perhaps someone is hiding behind them?.. Or even in front of them?.. The Hidebehind is a nocturnal, spectre-like beast that preys on humans. It can shift its shape, allowing it to hide behind almost any object and also can become invisible. Those who have seen it describe it as tall with silver-hair, akin to a skinny bear. Drawing this art I was thinking of Bear and smile of a Cheshire cat (and its ability to disappear). I also tried to give this beast the features of the Demiguese I painted, which is the ancestor of the Hidebehind. I spent a long time to get the idea of an obstacle to hide this beast. I was thinking of trees and rocks but stopped my mind on a scarecrow, which is creepy itself. So why not to make scary stories about living scarecrows a little bit more real at least in Harry Potter magical world?
