Hypersonic Research Program: China is engaged in Project 0901, which is a strategic powered hypersonic research program. This indicates China's interest in developing advanced hypersonic technologies that could potentially revolutionize warfare with extremely high-speed weapons systems. 4. Sixth-Generation Fighter Program: China has officially confirmed its work on a sixth-generation fighter program, indicating its ambition to stay at the forefront of fighter jet technology. 5. Carrier-Borne Aircraft Program: The development of the KJ-600, a fixed-wing carrier-based airborne early warning and control (AEWC) aircraft. Additionally, China's third aircraft carrier, the Type 003 Fujian, which began sea trials on May 1, 2024, is equipped with advanced electromagnetic catapults and arresting devices for launching and landing fighter jets.
