I recently completed and archived the game We Happy Few and though I adored the story, look and overall vibe of the game, there were some repetitive moments with a lot of backtracking in a barren world. Luckily for the three DLC stories that were made, they drifted away from the open world genre and instead give us a more linear and story driven experience. And this is EXACTLY what I wanted We Happy Few to be and I think that these DLC packs are the games we have always wanted. The first of the three DLC packs is inspired by War of the Worlds and follows the funny characters of James and Roger as they discover that aliens have been unleashed unto the world. Armed with a blaster we have to save the world and complete various puzzles while battling the alien scum. The story is both heartwarming and funny and I loved the snippits where I could walk through the village with all its intricate detail.
