From the album ’Mass Hypnosis and the Dark Triad’ Vinyl, Merch and More: Join the Billuminati: _______ This music video project is intended to be an experiment in apophenia and ’agenticity’ - the tendency to infuse patterns with meaning, intention, and agency. The footage is all CC0, created independently of the music, mostly by Russian studio Cottonbro - to whom I must wholeheartedly thank for their awesome technical skill, artistry and generosity. The material was placed in an unplanned and semi-random edit, so that synchronicities and narratives appear, which are subjective and unique to the viewer. Of course, this can occur when combining pretty much any audio to any visual (see Dark Side of the Moon Wizard of Oz). The difference here is that the apophenia is also happening during the editing process and affecting the choices to some extent. In the end, however, it is still the viewer’s creativity and imagination that gives it meaning, and both
