He looks like an angel and can sing like one too. Countertenor Jakub Józef Orliński enchants audiences with his high and simultaneously sonorous voice. But Orliński does not only excel on the opera stage. To counterbalance his opera work, he breakdances at a level that is also worth watching. In Orliński’s case, high culture meets street style. Add to that his stunning looks and incredible charm, and it’s no wonder that the young Pole seems to have no trouble attracting even a young audience to opera. Before a performance at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris in the fall of 2022, Orliński talked about the various aspects of his life. The result is a portrait of an exceptionally talented young singer who looks to the future with curiosity.
