On July 10, Moscow hosted the Sixth Round of #RussiaGCC strategic dialogue. During the consultations Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov noted that in the 12 years since the launch of this format, the strategic dialogue has proven to be an effective mechanism for discussing key regional and global issues and ways to develop economic and cultural cooperation between our countries. On the sidelines of the Sixth Ministerial Meeting of the Russia-Gulf Cooperation Council strategic dialogue Sergey Lavrov held several bilateral meetings with his counterparts from the Gulf states. 🇷🇺🇧🇭 In the course of the meeting between Sergey Lavrov and Foreign Minister of Bahrain Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani the Sides discussed current issues related to the further progressive development of traditionally friendly Russian-Bahraini relations 🇷🇺🇰🇼 During the conversation of Sergey Lavrov and Foreign Minister of Kuwait Sheikh Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah the counterparts reaffirmed the commitment to strengthen the mutually beneficial trade, economic and investment partnership. 🇷🇺🇸🇦 In his opening remarks at the meeting with Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud Sergey Lavrov reiterated the importance of Russian – Saudi relations and growth of cooperation between our countries. 🇷🇺🇴🇲 During talks Sergey Lavrov and Foreign Minister of Oman Sayyid Badr Albusaid spoke in favour of maintaining an active political dialogue, strengthening inter-parliamentary contacts, as well as increasing cooperation between the business groups of our countries. Following the conversation with the Secretary-General of GCC Jasem Al-Budaiwi Sergey Lavrov stressed that the Russia - GCC consultations are an effective mechanism for coordinating our countries’ actions in the interest of strengthening regional security and stability and expanding economic interaction and humanitarian ties.
