God i wish i had a picture!) to join my mom in her VHS “Jane Fonda Complete Workout“. I loved it. So did my sisters. It was fun, so much like how we liked to play - dancing around in wild costumes to tacky music! Since that time, it feels like #health and #fitness has become so much more complicated. It is my perception that, back then, there used to be 3 basic principles for health and fitness: 1. calories in/calories out (try not to have the later be greater than the former) 2. avoid sugar and “junk food“ and 3. some exercise. But now! Omg, NOW there’s Atkins, and Zone, and Volumetrics. There’s veganism, and fruitarianism, and ovo vegetarianism. There’s gluten-free, and fat-free, and sugar-free and now calorie-free?! There’s Weight Watchers, and Nutrisystem, and Ketogenic, and Slim Fast. There’s Hatha Yoga, and Kundali
