The song was originally an acoustic tune before the band decided to arrange it as a rock number. What other well known rock songs do you know of that started off as acoustic tunes before being redone? Let me know in the comments! Citing fellow Canadian band Rush as a major influence, Triumph was part of the harder-edged progressive power-rock movement of the late '70s. Following their breakout hit, “Hold On”, “Lay It On The Line” went on to become one of the band’s most popular songs. In this exciting version of the tune, Gabriela is collaborating with a powerhouse of musicians that you’re sure to recognize. We hope you enjoy it!
