From the South Pacific to California's coast, documenting deepwater coral colonies to the peaks of underwater volcanoes, the 2019 Nautilus expedition has spanned six months and hundreds of hours of ROV dives. As we switch our live streams off for the year, catch up on some of our most spectacular sightings to grace our deep sea spotlight--including a whale fall feeding bonanza, ballooning cirroteuthid octopus, new vent fields, and a sinuous, rarely-seen squid. An oceanwide thank you to the hardworking Nautilus ship's crew, all of the science teams and partners who sailed with us this year--and all our viewers-turned-explorers who joined us on Nautilus Live as we marveled at deep sea reaches never before seen by human eyes. Stay tuned for more highlights from our season, and join us again in early summer 2020 as we launch our next expedition! ------------------------------------------ E/V Nautilus is exploring unknown regions of the ocean seeking out new discoveries in biology, geology, and archaeology.
