Galvanizing plant automates welding process and expands its portfolio

Providing more extensive support to customers, generating new business and growing as a company: All of this has been achieved by the Swabian company Verzinkerei Sulz, which is part of the Lichtgitter Group, with the help of a welding robot. This was made possible by KUKA system partner KIWI-Automations GmbH & Co. KG and the compact welding cell from KUKA. With ease and precision, the KR CYBERTECH nano uses the welding device to join the octagonal prism to the compact steel plate. Two welding processes are completed in only 90 seconds. The welding capabilities have helped the company to get other galvanizing jobs and to strengthen their core processes.
