Gabriel Romanelli, the sole Catholic parish priest in Gaza, has reported that three percent of Gaza's Christian population has been wiped out by the Israeli war on Gaza. He stated that 33 Palestinian Christians had lost their lives during the ongoing war, representing 3% of the small Christian population estimated to be around 1,000 Christian Palestinians living in the strip. Romanelli explained that 20 had been killed in Israeli military attacks on both the Greek Orthodox Church and the Holy Family church, where civilians sought shelter. He described how the church transformed into a makeshift shelter, hospital, and cemetery during the war. Furthermore, he mentioned that 13 Palestinians died due to insufficient medical care and other causes. Romanelli shared these insights with Sky News during a visit to Glasgow.
