The time has come! WarlocK A.D. ‘s Sophomore album “Book II: The Valley of Vâgené” is to be released today 27th September! Over two years in the making, this entry into the WarlocK A.D. saga is bigger, thicker and more powerful than anything they have brought you before! Set directly after the events of “Book I: The Reserrection”, the album begins with Whiteacre The Mighty Warlock stranded in A Strange New World - powerless and alone. Though with the help of the Elven Prince Quinn Eilianther, Horatus the Mushroom Wizard and Ahriman Cullblade the Shadow assassin, Whiteacre the Nomad begins the long quest to The Valley of Vâgené - said to be the home of a gateway to the vast infinite multiverse. Danger awaits the brave heroes however, for Brittanni is ruled by the tyrannical Dwarf Emperor Thorumm III who seeks The Valley for his own nefarious purposes. The prophesised coming of a stranger to the land of Brittanni has awakened the gateway - and the race to multiverse has begun… The album is 12 tracks of interwoven musical storytelling implementing the use of motifs, themes and callbacks. From the sweeping orchestral movements of “The Golden Showers of Prestønia” to the frantic folk metal flavorings of “Rothgar Warsong”, the album combines the sound and styles of various iterations of orchestra led melodic metal - culminating in what feels like a fully fledged D&D style epic told through the medium of a Heavy Metal Musical. The land of Brittanni holds many secrets, and not everything is as it seems… The quest to The Valley of Vâgené continues with “Rothgar Warsong“ coming today 27th September on all digital platform and on YouTube with a brand new video!! LISTEN:  VIDEO:  “Rothgar Warsong” is a song that tells the tale of our heroes as they find themselves at the mercy of a tribe of Half-orc barbarians - led by the titular Rothgar Warsong. The track is heavily inspired by modern folk metal acts such as Feuerschwanz and Turisas, and is the only track on the album to utilise more folk instruments (bagpipes, mandolin, hurdy gurdy) than traditional orchestral instruments. With dialogue and ambient sound, a sense of adventurous storytelling is created as Whiteacre the Nomad steps up to defend Prince Quinn against the wishes of Rothgar Warsong; and despite the duel culminating in defeat, all is not lost - for the Human Resistance of Brittanni rides in at the last second to save our heroes!  For Fans of Feuerschwanz, Turisas, Wind Rose #warlockad #metal #folkmetal FOLLOW ROCKSHOTS RECORDS:
