Classic documentary film of British yachtsman John Ridgway’s campaign aboard the ketch English Rose VI, in the 1977-78 Whitbread Round the World Race. It captures the lives and growing tensions between several of the sailing boat’s crewmen. Filmed by Academy Award winning cinematographer Roger Deakins. Thanks to Steve Lenartowicz for the video copy.
