ARTofDiNo@ The Tartarian Anthem of 1777 The perfidious brigade of Kin-tchouen Had, from race to race, walked in the path of crime: By an unexpected happiness, the regular troops of our Manchus, After the fastest successes, completely destroyed them. Help from heaven, our warriors have acquired the greatest merits, The great master who rules us has been overwhelmed with joy A general truly worthy of his trust Has brought to life the subtle art of ordering. Those among the rebels who were the authors of the first troubles Began by uniting closely to oppress their Groups like these animals from the same village (which attack and defend themselves together) It was not possible to chatter separately. The troubles increased, the brigandage/brigadier became general; The rebels scorned the orders of our great; And because they disdained the very blessings of heaven, There remained no other means than that of getting the troops out. Senggesang escapes and runs to take refuge in Tchoutchin; The insolent Sonom dares to take his defense and replace him; his crime cannot go unpunished, The order comes to our troops to go and subjugate him. The sons and grandsons of our great renown, educated early to fear nothing, Confront, at will of each other, all the dangers, The lessons and the blessings of our august master inspire them with this noble ardor. They climb the steepest rocks, They cross the thick forests of the mountains, Nothing is able to put them off, they fight and show themselves everywhere as heroes. Following their example, all the other Manchus warriors are opening passages everywhere; Everywhere they give proof of their worth, With the speed of an eye, they master Tsalan and all its dependencies. The order to take the rebel leader from Cucin arrives, They leave and make sure on the way to Sepengbou and the other posts on the road: The rebels scares Come and offer them Senggesang's corpse. Enlightened by experience, our brave warriors boldly plunge into the country, They seize the temple of Lama Galta; And after having calculated everything, and provided for everything, They will attack the inaccessible Soungkertsoung, and win. The general officers on their side always brusque their attacks, The three army corps are performing wonders of value; We climb the walls, we take the posts one after the other; The odious brigades have their souls torn apart. We will attack them everywhere: we hold Kounser rancid; The temple of Lama Lakou is reduced to ashes; They take Tchangke by storm, they destroy him from top to bottom; We crush Leou-Wei, like we would crush an egg. We arrive in front of the great Karai, we besiege him; The vile Somon then loses all hope; No longer having wings to be able to escape, Agree with his mother, he talks about surrendering. Our fiery warriors surround its nest, they break down the redoubts and overthrow the walls; they enter the city and plunder it, Everything Karai is upset. he brothers and all the rebel's family surrender to the victor, We add to them a number of other distinguished prisoners, At the sound of our big cannon, The cowardly Sonom comes out himself and kneels on his knees. In this humiliating posture, he presents his seals and asks for life, We take hold of him and all his family; That same night we sent a letter to the emperor, And, in order to put it in a condition to fill the ceremonial in all its extent, the principal among the prisoners are led to the foot of the throne. Exactly informed of the fine deeds of all his warriors, The emperor our august master informed his ancestors of this in a solemn sacrifice; He distributes praise and rewards both to the winning general and to those who have contributed to his success, And to immortalize their glory, he raised the lapidary monument which was to be transmitted to posterity. Example of the Notes.. ill try to post them in the comments or community section :) 4. Sonom is the name of the king of Grand Kin-Chuan. Ceroi, a tributary of China, dared to declare himself his enemy; he took Senggesang under his protection, sent troops against those of the emperor, laid traps for them, treated indignantly and in a completely barbaric manner the Manchus who had the misfortune of falling into his hands, he even dared , they say, to speak badly of the son of heaven.
