On this Q&A edition of Investing in Real Estate, I’m taking three of your great questions about investing in times of inflation, paying back hard money loans for a fix and flip deal, and how to get started investing in stocks. I hope this episode brings you the insight and education you need to take the next step in your wealth building journey. Click play to hear my answers to your questions! What You Should Know About Investing in Real Estate During Times of Inflation I’m a big history buff, so I consider that when it comes to investing. If you look at the history, there are three asset types that have stood the test of time: real estate, gold, and silver. I don’t hesitate to invest in real estate during times of inflation. In fact, I’d do everything I can to ensure my family’s future isn’t tied to the performance of the US dollar. Options for Paying Back a Hard Money Loan If I was in a time crunch to pay back a hard money loan, the first thing I would do is talk with my lender. It’s very possible that your lender may be willing to negotiate terms or extend the life of your loan. You could also pursue other lenders who may be able to offer you favorable terms. You also may want to consider finding a sharp real estate agent who can help you sell your property quickly, or converting it into a cash flowing rental property. My Opinion in Getting Started with Stock Investing Personally if I’m going to buy stocks, I prefer to use an actual brokerage like eTrade. It’s an accessible platform that’s great for beginners. However, stocks are a very small portion of my portfolio, and I much prefer real estate investing. ----------------- DISCLAIMER: I am not a financial adviser.
