Fwd from @istanbul_wolf 🇹🇷🇮🇱🇺🇳 Speaking before the Turkish Grand National Assembly, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan made several bold statements: ▪️ He referred to Israel as a terrorist state and demanded that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu address whether Israel possesses an atomic bomb. ▪️ Emphasizing Turkey’s unwavering stance on Palestine, he stated that Hamas are freedom fighters defending their homeland. ▪️ He pledged to launch an international investigation into the Israeli actions that result in the killing of Palestinians, seizure of their homes and lands, and the worsening of the daily lives of civilians in the Gaza Strip. ▪️ He accused the UN of condoning the genocide of the Palestinians and criticized the dominance of 1-2 countries over the will of 121 UN member states. He vowed to hold telephone conversations with the leaders of those countries that voted “against“ or abstained from voting on the Palestinian issue. ▪️ The highlight of his speech was Erdogan’s remark about French President Macron, whom he accused of making bold statements and then backtracking. He urged the French leader to stick to a consistent position. ▪️ He reminded everyone that Armenia learned a lesson from the Karabakh war after years of harboring ambitions about Turkish territory. He called on Tel Aviv to take inspiration from Yerevan. Placing his hand on his heart (presumably for added emphasis), Turkey’s leader continues to prioritize key issues: UN reform and his image as the “protector of all Muslims.“ This serves as a distraction from internal concerns. #Turkey Источник: Rybar in English
