I almost got taken out making a turn. Riders rear brake locked up and sent him sliding 100ft, then gets tossed from the bike before almost smashing into the guard rail or sliding into the ditch. Thankfully, he was okay because he had his gear on. Just a minor scratch on his shoulder & shin from one of the rear sets. Wearing gear saved him from major road rash. Dress for the slide, not the ride! Y'all be safe out there!
