“Void Gear“ (also known as “Life-size Beautiful Girl Weapon: Void Gear“, 等身大美少女兵装 ヴォイド・ギア) is an obscure horizontal-scrolling Doujin shooter by the short-lived development team at Salmon Soft. Featuring cel-shaded graphics with large assets and generous particle effects, six main stages of varying intensity and a female android who storms through to save what's left of humanity from a rogue computer A.I., it is... hmm. Truth be told, it's not exactly a great shooter and it has more style than substance, but it's got a few noteworthy things about it, even if it's not the most cohesive experience.
