A treasured recording in my entire flute playing career, a time when I was at the height of musicianship. A period of flute playing I already said goodbye to. I remember standing in the stage with no one but my pianist and I. All eyes and ears, fully focused on us. In the midst of the quietness and serenity, I coaxed every shape and sound, each breath and each phrase at a time. This was a voice and yearning from the bottom of my heart, through my flute and straight into the hearts of audience.
