Marines of the Northern Fleet from the Dnepr group of troops are conducting training on crossing water obstacles and landing troops on the banks of the Dnieper in the Kherson direction. In the rear area, the Marines practice their skills in crossing water barriers and landing river troops from boats. The training program also includes a water survival course. Training is conducted in conditions as close to reality as possible. The terrain for the upcoming hostilities is specific, with many narrow channels and islands that do not have a hard surface. Therefore, each fighter must firmly know his task and his place, and work on his action skills until they become automatic. In full equipment, covering each other with dense fire, the landing force occupies a conditional bridgehead. Each soldier carries about 30 kg of cargo, most of which is weapons and ammunition. Combat work on the islands is quite complex, training is carried out both day and night. On the Black Sea coast, boat crews are trained to work in the Dnieper delta. At the same time, the emphasis is on the interaction of the crew; each fighter must vigilantly assess the situation and be focused, since all actions will take place in pitch darkness. Setting up military guard posts on the islands is necessary in order to promptly detect and prevent enemy actions and avoid the landing of his main forces on our shores.
