German energy company RWE is mining coal in the western region of North Rhine-Westphalia, for which a wind turbine farm has been destroyed. It is noteworthy that the company believes that due to the closure of the wind turbine farm, 15 million to 20 million tonnes of additional 'brown' lignite coal can be excavated here. This step of Germany is being criticized by climate experts and environmentalists. The expansion of the coal sector is being done under the agreement between the German government and energy company RWE for the year 2022.
