लागी मोहिं राम-खुमारी हो॥ лāгӣ мoхиं рāма-кхумāрӣ хo ॥ The name Rama has gone to my head, Intoxicated I am in his love singing his name. रिमझिम बरसै मेहड़ा भीजै तन सारी हो। римаджхима барасаи мēхад̣ā бхӣджаи тана сāрӣ хо । And (in the heart) the cloud of love is raining, it is wetting my whole body and Sārī (cloth) चहुंदिस दमकै दामणी गरजै घन भारी हो॥ чахум̇диса дамакаи дāман̣ӣ гараджаи гхана бхāрӣ хo ॥ The Lightning flashes far and wide, and the clouds thunder.
