Canadian swimmers earn the country's first medal of the 2016 Rio Olympics with a bronze in the women's 4x100-metre freestyle relay, at the Maria Lenk Aquatics Centre in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on Aug. 6, 2016. Sandrine Mainville, Chantal van Landeghem, Taylor Ruck and Penny Oleksiak swam for Canada, finishing with a time of three minutes seconds. The team was strong throughout the relay, but received an additional push from the teenage tandem of Ruck and Oleksiak on the back end of the race.
