“I've been second to Jo my whole life, and I will not be the person you settle for just because you cannot have her.“ ..... Florence Pugh was such a delight to watch in this film. I've always thought that she'll have her big break as an actor from the moment I saw her in Lady Macbeth-- and now look at where she's standing! From Midsommar, Fighter For My Family, and now Little Women! Her screen presence is insane. So glad my woman get the recognition she deserves. Here goes hoping that she'll do well in the upcoming Black Window film. Tbh Amy March was my fav in the movie. I like Jo, I can see why people prefer her over Pugh's character (some people I know even hated her)-- but I thought Amy had the best charcater development out of all the sisters. She went from a catty child to a mature, strong woman, who didn't really have to strip all her feminine traits to prove her own independence (unlike Jo, who's quite boyish and stubborn). Or who knows, maybe it's because I'm somewhat biased towards Florence Pugh myself haha. In all honesty I think all the actors did great. Was quite surprised to see Eliza Scanlen (AKA Amma Crellins) here as Beth. She looked adorable ^^ And yes, Coronovirus had every schools in my country closed for the past few weeks. Heck, I'm pretty sure that my apartment is filled with infected people who are trying to escape from quarantine (jk, but not really XDDD). This epidemic clearly not good for my anxiety, 'cause I have the lowest tolerance level when it comes to healthcare lol, and if there's two good things that came out of it-- is that 1) I didn't have to stress as much about schoolwork and time and 2) I'm a huge introvert, so having little to no communication with teh outside world didn't really affect my everyday life. Buuuut, even if I'm granted breaks from school and works, my urge to procrastinate is still there; so that might explains why it's been a long damn time since I last updated on this channel (is 3 weeks a long time tho? I dunno. It sure is for me). Anyway, enjoy my overly-simple edits. I was aiming to build atmosphere (from Amy's dynamic with Jo, her love story with Laurie, and the character development in between)--buuuut it just didn't turns out so great by the end lol Apps: Sony Vegas Pro 15 Movie: Little Women (2019) Coloring: SunnyVids Song: Happiest Year - James Young Ps: Btw, I did try to read Little Women back in fourth grade, but didn't enjoy it as much as the film. I always got mixed up with the sister's names somehow. And it really, really drags, which bores me out greatly-- Maybe if I revisit it now I'd enjoy it more? Compare to little nine years old me I'm pretty sure I've read enough books in my teenage years and write enough stories to appreciate a classic like Little Women. Although I have no idea where to buy it, cause all the bookstores in my area sure as hell doesn't have it on their shelves. Also, This edit is inspired by two of VEKproduction's vids, check out these beauties here:
