It's a breezy day when eight college students, including Jack and Ellie (Katrina Bowden), drive to the woods of Lake Morris for a vacation. The legend of a horrific massacre that took place 20 years ago has the men and women, who are used to watching horror movies with similar themes, on edge, as do two local youths they encounter along the way. The youths, named Tork (Alan Tudyk) and Dale (Tyler Labine), are a pair of best friends from childhood, menacing in appearance but genuinely warm-hearted at heart. They meet up for a fishing trip near their mountain cabin on Morris Lake, where they accidentally rescue Ellie from an accidental fall into the water during the night. However, their act of kindness is misinterpreted by Ellie's friends as a murderous rampage. The reckless men and women are determined to rescue their friend, only to set off a series of bloody tragedies ......
