In June of this year, the United States imposed visa restrictions on Ugandan officials, issuing sanctions in response to Uganda's enactment of an anti-LGBTQ law. Also, the European Union enforced travel restrictions on the Military Junta responsible for the coup in Niger during the same month. The use of such punitive measures by Western powers, notably the United States and European countries, to influence African nations has been a recurrent pattern. Despite accusations of human rights violations against Western nations in Africa and globally, there has not been an instance where an African country or organization has reciprocated by sanctioning a Western nation. Has the time come for African nations to assert themselves through such diplomatic and economic measures? We create and share videos that focus on African and black communities, exploring both historical events and current trends. Our content delves into black and African history and features analyses of speeches by African leaders and activists, offering critical insights into their messages. We also cover the continent's current situation and activities, including news developments in African countries.
