Pyongyang, August 3 (KCNA) -- The Moranbong Band gave a performance for the participants in the military parade for celebrating the 60th anniversary of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War. Marshal Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army, enjoyed the performance together with the participants in the military parade. Among the audience were Choe Ryong Hae, Kim Kyok Sik, Jang Jong Nam, Ri Yong Gil, Mun Kyong Dok, O Il Jong, Kim Kyong Ok and Kim Yong Chol. Kim Jong Un together with Ri Sol Ju appeared in the auditorium. He acknowledged the enthusiastic cheers of the audience. He warmly congratulated the participants in the military parade on fully demonstrating the spirit of Songun Korea to surely build a thriving socialist nation on this land shining the undying exploits the great Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il performed by winning the victory in the war and their feats performed by achieving the victory in the Songun revolution. It began with the playing of the national anthem. The performers impressively showed that the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War was a victory of the Juche-oriented military idea, distinguished strategy and tactics and superb commanding art of President Kim Il Sung and it was a shining victory of the might of the unity and cohesion of the army and people of the DPRK closely united around the party and the leader and their indomitable spirit. When the august images of the great generalissimos were projected on the screen and the voice of the President making a speech was heard, the audience broke into loud applause and was overwhelmed with excitement. When the song “The leader to whom we entrust our destiny and future“ was presented and the image of the tender-hearted Marshal Kim Jong Un was projected on the screen, the audience overcome with excitement rose from their seats and enthusiastically clapped their hands and sang in chorus, shaking the theatre. As the performance was over, Kim Jong Un waved back to the performers and audience, congratulating the artistes on their successful performance.
