The 1985 Canada one cent coin, commonly known as a penny, features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse (front) side. This portrait was designed by Arnold Machin and was used on Canadian pennies from 1965 to 1989. The reverse (back) side of the coin displays two maple leaves on a twig, a design created by G.E. Kruger Gray and used since coin is composed of 98% copper, with the remainder being zinc and tin. It has a diameter of mm and weighs grams.
