On crutches with a broken ankle for this entire 17-shows-in-19-days Rough Side Out Tour leg, Kendel has been amazing, despite having to deal with crutches in the snow and ice, crutches in the venue and, maybe worst of all, crutches while maneuvering around in the tight confines of a tour bus. Through it all, she has been the consummate professional, her smile nearly as dazzling as her violin playing. She has all of my respect and admiration for the professionalism, resilience and sheer toughness she's shown. And huge kudos to all of the fellas - especially Andy, who has been a hero of help - for doing all they can to make it a bit more bearable for their Fiddle Goddess.
