Howdy. Today we will look through the entirety of the Papyrus of Ani, an Egyptian Book of the Dead dated to roughly 1250 BC. Furthermore, we will discuss the discovery of this Papyrus of Ani, and how it was acquired in a somewhat nefarious way. We will look at the impact the papyrus had on the rest of the world, and we will culminate our research into Ancient Egypt with my entire collection (so far) of the First Photographs of Egypt, dating to the late 1840’s, the 1850’s through the 1870’s. It will showcase many images we have looked at in our last few months of research, as well as other photographs we have yet to discuss. Overall, this is an incredibly deep dive into Egypt, a subject that has been fascinating me lately. Hopefully you find something that fascinates you in this video, and I’d love to hear about it in the comment section down below.
