Two former Navy fighter pilots and a former intelligence officer testified Wednesday (July 26) on Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAPs), also known as UFOs, restating their experiences when they believed to have seen them, and calling on the U.S. government to be more transparent about UAPs while warning that these unidentified objects are a national security threat. The House Oversight and Accountability Committee held the hearing with both Republican and Democratic lawmakers expressing concern over UAPs and the fear by pilots to report them. Last week White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said UAPs are having an 'impact on our training ranges' when pilots are out training and they see things and are not sure what they are.
