In this video I'm making the recently discovered broad-spectrum antibiotic Arsinothricin. An arsenic-based non-proteinogenic amino acid analog of glutamic acid. It is an inhibitor of the glutamine synthethase enzyme. Some researchers are working on developing a more convenient synthetic route to Arsinothricin, which would be useful in larger scale production and for tests in trials.
