The 24 Hours of Le Mans is fast approaching and to celebrate the milestone, the BMW M Hybrid V8 will become the first playable 2024 Hypercar on Le Mans Ultimate, the official game of the FIA World Endurance Championship and 24 Hours of Le Mans. The car will be a free DLC for Early Access supporters along with all the 2024 liveries of Hypercars currently in the game. June will be a special occasion for the Bavarian manufacturer, as BMW celebrate 25 years since its iconic outright win in 1999 with their BMW V12 LMR, and to mark the milestone the M Hybrid V8 LMDh will be available to players for free as part of a wider June update ahead the 2024 edition of the endurance racing classic. Following a season in IMSA in 2023, BMW elected for a two-pronged attack in 2024 with the #15 and #20 cars joining the FIA WEC roster – fighting for wins across the globe against sparring partners from the likes of Ferrari, Porsche and Toyota. The 4-litre V8 German Hypercar adorned in the works BMW liveries will be available as a free DLC download on Steam on Monday 10th June and will be able to race against 2023 cars on 2023 circuits already in the game once downloaded from Steam. Joining the BMW will be an array of new liveries for all the 2024 Hypercars currently in the game – these will also be free to all players as part of the June update and will include the menacing black Toyota GR010, eye-catching yellow AF Corse Ferrari 499P and retro themed Porsche 963 from Proton Competition to name but a few. The update from Studio 397 along with the free BMW Hypercar DLC will be available to the Le Mans Ultimate community on Monday 10th June, with further details on the update and 2024 season content drops coming in an announcement next week.
