Shchedryk, literally translated to beautiful evenings, and known in English as The Little swallow, is a traditional Ukrainian New years song composed by Ukrainian composer Mykola Leontovych, and tells the story of swans proposing households with wealth the following year. The song's melody was later adopted as the melody for Carol of Bells, a famous Christmas choir, and the reason why I decided to upload this video today.
