US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller - that Russia is to blame for the lack of peace negotiations: “This is still a war in which Russia shows no desire to curtail its imperialist ambitions and sit down at the negotiating table.“ Russian Ambassador to the USA Antonov: “We have witnessed another unsuccessful attempt by the US administration to pass off wishful thinking. There was no diplomatic success in Jeddah. Washington tried to show a beautiful picture of US support from the states of the “Global South” in an effort to isolate Russia. To win over countries that do not maintain “rule-based order“. Hence the quite expected result of the meeting - the lack of a common position on how to move forward in resolving the crisis in Ukraine. There was no support for the notorious Kyiv “peace formula” at all. I would like to understand how it is possible to discuss issues related to Russia’s security without taking into account our national interests. Is it really still not clear to anyone that in such a situation it is impossible to achieve a specific result? The actions of the Washington “peacekeepers“ do not stand up to scrutiny. One continuous “double“ standards: first, they exclude our country from the negotiation process, and then publicly accuse us of unwillingness to participate in the settlement of the conflict unleashed by the United States and its satellites. We hear hypocritical talk about the world, and in the meantime, the United States is shipping a batch of Abrams tanks to its puppets. The absurdity of such an approach is overwhelming. All this leads to huge additional human casualties on the part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and, undoubtedly, postpones the prospects for peace.“ Источник: Victor vicktop55
