Do you view it as a religious conflict? Ambassador Gatilov: I would not call the Ukrainian crisis a “holy war”, as it is a much more multifaceted conflict driven by a great number of factors. ️ I believe that Patriarch Kirill’s use of the term “holy war“ is overall symbolic, as he is seriously concerned over the grave violations of the rights of Orthodox believers in Ukraine.
