Uncovering the Magic of Consciousness: Philosophy, Neuroscience, AI. The First ICCS Conference

The International Center for Consciousness Studies held its first conference “Uncovering the Magic of Consciousness: Philosophy, Neuroscience, AI“ at the Santa Maria della Scala Museum, Sala “Italo Calvino”, in Siena, Italy, from June 27 to 29 2024. The program of the conference The principal objective of the First ICCS Conference was to investigate whether it is really possible to unveil the magic of consciousness within a scientific framework or, instead, whether it is such an evanescent phenomenon that it requires an account which goes beyond cognitive science. Designed as a three-day symposium, the conference was structured to accommodate a variety of formats, encouraging participants to present their contributions in the manner most suited to their expertise.
