#VisitRussia ? Lake Burlinskoe is located in the Slavgorod region of the Altai Krai. The first information about this lake appeared in 1768. The area is slightly more than 31 square km. Since the middle of the 18th century, this region has held the status of being the salt capital of Western Siberia. You can also drive alongside the lake – by train on the rails! A special combine is attached to the train, which collects salt from the bottom, deposits it in trailers, and transports it directly to the salt processing plant along the rails. It was not for nothing that Peter the Great called these territories a “Tsar’s salt shaker“. ️ This mysterious pink lake is one of Altai’s best-kept secrets! It is open to the public, offering a relaxing opportunity to admire the magnificent pink landscapes, immerse yourself in the healing salt water, and apply therapeutic silt that covers lake’s bed.
