The spy retains its original hitbox even when his character model changes. This becomes an issue when becoming a class significantly smaller or larger than the spy, resulting in hit registration issues due to the model misrepresenting where the hitbox is. This has been in the game for a long time. It is unlikely it will ever be fixed. If this was CS:GO it would be fixed instantly. But not in TF2. Sad to say but valve have not cared for years. They won't fix it imo. like fav sub etc
