They first met at auditions for The Monkees band and went on to have twelve US and nine UK Top50 hits. This one had the title “Randy Scouse Git“ in America and was written by Micky Dolenz after watching an episode of the UK sitcom, “Till Death Us Do Part“. But he was advised against using that title in Britain, so came up with “Alternate Title“. It made #2 in England in 1967 and did well all across Europe, but failed to chart in the US, Canada or Australia.
