The Asian Arowana is widely regarded as a feng shui symbol of good luck and prosperity. With their large, metallic scales, long fins and barbels, arowana resemble chinese dragons and are thus often called Dragonfish. Their popularity as aquarium fish not only rests in the hopes of prosperity, but it is also said that an arowana can preserve its owner from death by dying itself. Due to their large size of up to 90 cm (35 in) and very high price not everyone can afford to keep a live arowana at home. Countless figurines and golden statues, however, make ideal gifts for anyone. CIT proudly presents a Dragonfish coin, the likes of which has never been minted before. Struck in smartminting technology, the gilded silver arowana sits on a black enamel background with its contour protruding out of the classic round coin frame. The characteristic large scales are laser treated to create a lifelike metallic sparkle.
