Six migrants died over the weekend trying to cross the channel, and this latest tragedy has pushed the number of deaths to 63 since 2021. Last Monday, the Government announced the first migrants had been moved onto Bibby Stockholm, a barge bought to relieve the £6 million per day cost on hotels. But it descended into chaos when people were evacuated following the discovery of Legionella bacteria. Former Brexit secretary David Davis has also accused the Home Office of being too slow to deal with new arrivals - so is Britain letting migrants down?
