They are the world’s largest land animals. They can live for up to 70 years. They have 150 000 muscle units in their trunk. Their skin is thick. They consume 150kg of food per day. Their gestation period is 24 months. And they never magnificent animals are Elephants. Some 415 000 African elephants roam the wilds today. This documentary series, set in the remote North-Western parts of Botswana, aims to explore human-elephant coexistence. We investigate whether it’s possible for free ranging wild elephants, local villagers and farmers to co-exist in harmony.
