My entry for Pink Floyd's The Dark Side Of The Moon 50th anniversary animated music video competition with the song The Great Gig In The Sky. A very special and emotional song for me; the track where the record takes a turn, not seamlessly transitioning to the next song. It encapsulates both an ending and a potential new beginning – a sort of rebirth. The mystery of what lies beyond death prompts us to contemplate beyond our conscious understanding. For some, it's fear; for others, salvation. It's essentially the fear of the unknown. We embellish this concept with notions of freedom, soaring into the sky - like angels, liberated from the gravitational pull that tethers us here, detached from our physical bodies. Whether it marks the ultimate conclusion remains uncertain, yet the very notion of finiteness imparts value to our lives.
