Date : 30/7/2016 Venue : Jalan Masjid Kapitan Keling, George Town. Pulau Pinang. Showdown In Georgetown ! Gen Y may not have seen before what you are about to see in this video! Yes, these are not just bicycles but classic antique bicycles . They are all paraded here at the recent Georgetown Classic Bicycle Festival, an annual event that gathers not just classic bicycle owners but also a fan following and parts dealers. Some of these mean looking machines are over 60 years old and still fully functional. Stainless steel handlebars, leather seats and leather pouch, old-style reflectors , and even a contraption to hold rifles! Yes, bicycles indeed played an important role during the second world war in Malaya and they were a favourite form of transportation of the Japanese army. iced the small bottle looking thing strapped at the rear tyre? That's an electric  dynamo. It is  rotated when the wheel moves and  it lights up the headlights!  closer look at the seats. Some even have coiled spring suspensions! These  may be old classics but they were innovative machines.  Long live the bicycle!
