A nice little biotope un-named drainage that runs through the rainforest and along farmland just before you get to Etty Bay in tropical North Queensland, it is full of life with an abundance of plants fish and crustaceans, it has 3 species of Rainbowfish, Melanotaenia maccullochi, Melanotaenia splendida, and the rare Cairnsichthys rhombosomoides as well as Hypseleotris compressa, and in some parts Pseudomugil gertrudae as well as plentiful Macrobrachium sp. the aquatic plants that inhabited this particular spot are nymphoides indica, Blyxia Aubertii, Vallisneria nana, unfortunately there was an abundance of feral Xiphophorus maculatus or X. variatus for more information check out the links bellow from ANGFA QLD. the home of Rainbowfish.
