Gregory Lemarchal was a young French singer who inspired Dimash to sing “SOS d’un terrien en detresse”. Diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at a young age, Gregory defined all odds and won the fourth series of the singing contest Star Academy. He became an overnight sensation in France and went on to have a successful career. He was known for “La voix d’un ange”- the voice of an angel. Gregory succumbed to his illness at the age of 23. This video is a tribute to his memory. Special thanks to Ioanna Griva for helping me with translation, and Robert Redmond and my viewer Tatochka15 for sharing information about Gregory with me.
