It could be confusing, but the word СОБАКА (a dog) is Feminine in Russian. So, whether your dog is a boy or a girl, you'll be referring to him/her in Russian as ОНА (she)! у тебЯ красИвая собАка! моЯ собАка ещё не Ела как зовУт твоЮ собАку? and so on, we're using all Feminine endings here, because we're using the word СОБАКА, and it's Feminine. Alternatively, for a male dog, you could also use a Masculine noun ПЁС: у тебЯ красИвый пёс! мой пёс ещё не ел как зовУт твоегО пса? Or, if you know the dog's name, and it's a boy, you could also use the name male forms of words: мой Рэкс ещё не ел Still, most people will use СОБАКА, for both, boy and girl dogs. 👉 More on GENDER in Russian: 🤯 Don't Know HOW TO START LEARNING RUSSIAN?
