Titles read: 'NOW Pathe Pictorial has pleasure in presenting - THE VERSATILE THREE - THE POPULAR IRISH BROADCASTING HARMONY TRIO'. Pathe Studio, London. The Versatile Three, three men dressed in white tie and tails, perform the uptempo song 'Sweet Sue' in the studio. One plays the grand piano, one just sings and the third sings and plays guitar. In the instrumental section the guitarist scats, making a noise like a trumpet, while the other goes “bom bom bom“ like a double bass. The singer goes into a slower song called 'Ridin' Around In The Rain', about a man finding his happiness by taking a girl for a ride in the car in the rain. The last line is “Oh, how they weaken in the rain“! He sounds a bit like a Bing Crosby imitator. FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ. EXPLORE OUR ONLINE CHANNEL, BRITISH PATHÉ TV.
